How these numbers were collected
- Source: Weedmaps’ public product listings, captured on Oct 4, 2026 for one city per state, counting stores and deliveries within 50 miles and in the same state.1
- A menu item counts when its name contains “Pineapple Express” and it is sold as flower, infused flower included. Names with another word in front that make them a different strain, such as “Purple Pineapple Express”, named crosses such as “Pineapple Express OG”, crosses written with x, × or +, and pre-rolls are excluded.
- 164 of the 526 menu items counted (31.2%) were infused flower, most of them around Los Angeles (126 of 194 items there). Infused items count toward the store and item totals but are never priced.1
- “Median eighth” uses only items sold as an eighth (3.5 g). Listed prices may or may not include tax, and deals are not applied.
- Only stores with a Weedmaps menu are counted, so a low count can reflect Weedmaps coverage rather than the market.

Names you will see
Leafly lists Pex as another name for Pineapple Express.2 Two similar names belong to other strains: Purple Pineapple Express, which Leafly also lists as Pineapple Purple Skunk (Pineapple Express × Huckleberry Hound), and G13 Labs’ Pineapple Express #2, a cross of Pineapple Express and Skunk.3,4 The Weedmaps counts on this page leave out Purple Pineapple Express and other prefixed names but keep numbered names such as “Pineapple Express #2”.1 In state lab records, 133 flower results carried near-miss names such as “Purple Pineapple Express”, against 461 strict matches.5
